T-fal C798SC Ultimate Stainless Steel
This set of pans by T-fal has a classic contemporary look that looks great in any home. The bottom of each pan has a kind of star shaped copper base which adds a nice style to the pan but more importantly it acts as a channel for the heat. The base is a combination of steel, aluminium and the copper star which gives a nice even cook.
These pans are a great buy for the money. I didn’t have any problems with food sticking and they seem to be made from robust materials that should last for a long time even with constant use.

This cookware set is beautiful, thick and sturdy. The polish is gorgeous & functional. Each pot has an interior volume measurement in quarts and liters that I know can be very useful. They have solid construction and are heavy duty. They clean up very easy, heat up quick and cook evenly. The heat distribution across all the pan bottoms is very good. A pan that is “ruined” can be recovered with a good cleaning and re-seasoning and will look great after multiple uses.
The biggest weakness of the T-fal C798SC is the handles which are not coated and can get extremely hot.
The bottom tends to show signs of discoloring after being used a few times but can be cleaned up. This is mainly on the copper plating which I suppose is expected and is the same for most pan sets.
The glass pot covers can be hard to clean especially as the glass extends over the top of the rims leaving a very thin crevice that is hard getting a sponge into.
One final consideration if you are considering buying this set of pans is that there is no lid to fit the large frying pan.
The T-fal C798SC looks and feels like a high end set of pots and pans without the high price. They are a perfect investment if you are looking for a long term investment which will be the case for most. They easily pass all the non-stick checks so even the novice cook won’t have problems cooking up the perfect omelette. The hot handles can be an issue if you use your pan for a long time but if you are just cooking up your dinner then it won’t be an issue for you.
